This is one of the few areas in Melbourne where cars cannot access, but trams and pedestrians can cross. If you are walking around here, watch for trams, and listen for the bells before crossing the street.

On the corner of Bourke Street and Elizabeth Street stands Melbourne’s old GPO, now a heritage-listed building. The building is over 150 years old and currently home to the Swedish brand H&M. Inside, you can shop for affordable clothing, homewares, and cosmetics across two floors.

Between the old GPO building and Myer is Postal Lane, lined with delicious eateries. Here, you can choose from a variety of cuisines, whether you’re looking for a quick bite, a full meal, or just a coffee stop.
