Lake Mountain Snow Tour $145
Lake Mountain Snow Tour Itinerary
Join us to head to Lake Mountain for a fun day of snow play and stunning alpine scenery, just two hours from Melbourne.
We start the tour in Melbourne and head north to travel through the charming rural scenery of the Yarra Valley. Once arrived at Lake Mountain, we’ll drive right up to the snow, where you can hire gear and clothing from the resort or head straight out to play if you have your own.
With three hours of free time, the resort is yours to enjoy as you wish! There are stacks of family-friendly activities on offer including three toboggan runs and a flying fox. Explore the stunning winter scenery with a snowshoe walk or via the labyrinth of cross-country ski trails and hike to the top of Lake Mountain for incredible views over the surrounding landscape. Have a go building your own snowman, make a snow angel or challenge your friends to a snowball fight. If you need warming up, head indoors to grab a hot drink and relax at the café.
After all the snow play fun, we’ll meet back up to travel to Steavenson Falls. This spectacular waterfall is one of Victoria’s tallest and you can admire the impressive 84 metre cascade from viewpoints along a short walking trail.
Then it’s back on the bus to Melbourne, but not before we stop to refuel with some sweet treats from the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery. This charming family-owned chocolate factory set amongst the green hills of the Yarra Valley offers free samples of their tasty European style chocolates for you to try. You can also indulge in one of their homemade ice creams or cakes, pick up some chocolates to take home with you and observe the chocolatiers at work. As evening closes in, we’ll jump back on the bus for the final leg of our journey back to Melbourne.
