Around the Bay Food & Wine Lovers Tour Itinerary

Taste your way around Port Phillip Bay, visiting top food and wine producers along the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas. Enjoy tastings at local wineries and a brewery, dine on seasonal produce with a delicious winery lunch and enjoy a two sail across the bay. It’s the perfect day out from Melbourne to explore two of Victoria’s top foodie destinations.

We’ll start the day in Melbourne, heading towards Geelong in the morning for our first stop. Explore Victoria’s second largest city with a walk along the esplanade, admiring the quirky statues along the waterfront.

Next up, we visit our first winery, Scotchman’s Hill, to enjoy your first sampling of the Bellarine Peninsula’s vinos with a guided wine tasting. The seaside location makes Scotchman’s Hill vineyards perfect for elegant cool climate pinot noirs. You’ll taste your way through a series of wines and learn more about the winemaking process with your expert sommelier.

Having worked up an appetite, we head to Jack Rabbit Vineyard for a delicious winery lunch. Enjoy another wine tasting to appreciate the different wine styles before we head to Queenscliff to board the boat.
Enjoy a light afternoon tea and soak up the views as we travel across Port Phillip Bay from Queenscliff to Sorrento. Keep an eye out for dolphins that like to play in the waves!

We’ll touch back on land on the Mornington Peninsula, ready to explore the other side of the bay! We head to St Andrews Beach Brewery to swap the grapes for hops. This former stable is a great place to relax as we enjoy a tasting paddle of their delicious brews.

As we make our way back to Melbourne, we’ll call into two of the Mornington Peninsula’s must-do attractions. Get an insta-worthy photo at the colourful bathing boxes of Mount Marthas Beach then admire the incredible views of Port Phillip Bay from Murrays Lookout. We’ll arrive back in Melbourne in the evening having completed a full circle around the bay!
